Malpractice Insurance | Baby Doulas

Malpractice insurance covers alleged failure to perform, financial loss caused by, and error or omission in the service provided by the doula. A doula who fails to provide adequate support during a birth may be liable for any resulting complications. The National Doula Association provides resources and support to doulas, including information about malpractice insurance. The Doula Advocacy Group is working to raise awareness about the importance of malpractice insurance and to advocate for more affordable options for doulas.
